EVEN THE SCORE CELEBRATES THE ANNIVERSARY OF TITLE IX
"Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, now known as the Patsy T. Mink Equal Opportunity in Education Act in honor of its principal author, but more commonly known simply as Title IX, is a United States law enacted on June 23, 1972 that states: 'No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.'"- U.S. Department of Labor, 2009There's a resurgence, a renaissance, a paradigm shift in sports that's taking place not just in America, but across the world; women's sports are on an accelerated pace to become highly accepted by the world. Even The SCORE is proud of its stance on empowering women to be active participants, through education, in the world of sports. Title IX was the catalyst driving the equality of sports, but Even The SCORE is the vehicle transcending traditional sports culture through socializing and education.
